I have tried sushi at many restaurants in Orlando, including the more expensive one on International Drive and downtown, but they were too expensive and served tiny portions. But when my orders for the sashimi dinner came out, it looked and tasted great. Nice ambiance, friendly waitstaff, and they made my dining experience very enjoyable. I also tried their recommended Happy Sumo roll which had tuna, salmon, and crab. It was delicious, and I will definitely be back. I had a great dinner with my wife and we spent about half of what we normally spent at other places that served less.

PROS:   Great food for a great price

Review:    I have tried sushi in many other places, but this place is the best I have ever had. We ordered the specialty rolls called the Happy Sumo. It was delicious! The atmosphere was very warm, friendly and fun. My wife like the special drinks and the fish was really fresh. Great place. We'll be back.

Review:    I like custom rolls designed by me. The sushi house will make any roll you want perfectly. It is a cozy environment with excellent service. The best service in Orlando.

Review:    When I first walked into the Sushi House, I knew I was going to get something different. The place looks really nice and well decorated. The candles were lit when we sat down at our table and we had a choice to be at the sushi bar or the table. There is great up beat music, but not annoying. It was a fun and friendly environment and our waitress was really helpful with the selection of different types of sushi. The food was great and reasonably priced. We felt like we got a great deal considering how nice the food presentation looked and the amount of food we got. It was nice and we'll be back.

Review:    Oh my gosh! I cannot believe I have ever had sushi so good. The sushi here is absolutely fabulous. It's not the typical sushi because the Sushi House Specialty rolls are served with toppings!! One of the rolls I ordered, the Graduation Roll, came out baked in a toaster oven. What a treat for my taste buds. The Volcano Roll was steaming with flavor when that arrived. I thought I had good sushi until I stopped here. The prices are good as advertised. My friends told me about the Sushi House and it was worth the drive.

Review:    This place has the best sushi lunch specials! I had the sushi maki combo which has three different rolls for a total of 18 pieces! That comes with my miso soup. One of the best soups I've ever had at a Japanese restaurant, and not watered down. For appetizer, I ordered the volcano roll. Yum! The service was friendly and very attentive. The candle lit lunch is a nice touch. It was a great experience. Sushi House is now my favorite lunch place. I'll be back to try their famous chicken teriyaki.

PROS:  Great service and clean

Review:    We came from 50 miles away because a friend recommended we go to the Sushi House and ordered the sashimi dinner and the Happy Sumo roll. We were not disappointed. The staff was really nice and helpful in spending time with us to explain the different dishes. They gave us service like any other upscale restaurant but without the hefty price. Nice atmosphere and the candle lit dining was a nice touch.

Worth the trip!!!

Review:    We've tried all the local sushi restaurants but we always return here. Their signature rolls are awesome and the freshest we've tasted and they're always experimenting with new menu items. If you're unsure what to try, just ask the friendly staff.    The atmosphere, quality, and service of an expensive downtown sushi bar without the cost.  The Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll and the Volcano roll are to die for!

Congratulations on winning the Best Sushi Orlando award! Sushi House is by far the best sushi restaurant I've dined. They have the freshest fish and a great dinner menu. The servers were really on top of things and we had a great experience. My wife and I live in the Dr. Phillips area and we come here for sushi every week. Although there are plenty of Japanese and sushi restaurants near where we live, they cannot compare to the service and value that the Sushi House offers. Try the banana flambe for dessert and ask for their extensive wine list. You will find this little restaurant will surprise the most discriminating sushi lovers. Great place! Simple surroundings, good authentic sushi
This tiny restaurant has a simple decor and an even simpler name, but what Sushi House lacks in ambience it more than makes up for in good sushi. Located in a strip mall near the Florida Mall, Sushi House attracts locals with its varied menu and attractive presentation - - the sushi and sashimi combos are served on miniature Asian fishing boats. Popular for lunch are the sushi box, with one piece each of the tuna roll, tuna and salmon sushi. Dinner favorites include the sushi deluxe, with several different seafood cuts such as mackerel and eel.

Regulars also have helped create some of the restaurant's most popular signature rolls, including the Sunshine Roll: Shrimp tempura with crab topped with eel and avocado and heated in a toaster oven. Of course, there also is the standard Japanese fare of teriyaki and tempura for those who haven't taken to the raw fish yet. The eatery is busiest at 12:30PM or 1PM and after 8PM, but there is generally never a long wait. -- Sylvia Oliande
